Integrated, Automated Bulk Material Processing Plant

This was a really exciting project for us as we designed, in concert with the customer, an integrated processing plant for creating bagged aggregate products for the consumer market.

It brought to bear just about every type of equipment we make.

  • From a dryer a conveyor moves material to a bucket elevator.
  • The bucket elevator elevated material to the top a bank if silos.
  • From the elevator, a tripper conveyor fed one of five aggregate silos, while a air system serviced two cement cement silos.
  • Underneath the silos, gates and scale belts gets material out of the silos.
  • They drop material, in its correct proportions, onto a collecting flexwall belt.
  • The covered flexall conveyor elevates the material, leaving the silo building and deposit the material it into a mixer in a second build.  Another small bucket elevator allows additives to be added to the mix.
  • From the mixer there is a diverter gate allow material to either be directed to a super sack filler or a to the bagging station.
  • A flexwall conveyor moves material to the bagging station hopper
  • The bagging station hopper, via screw conveyors, moves material laterally in the hopper to ensure supply to three bagging stations

This project placed hold after we had started fabrication and some pieces suffered some years of weathering.  It will be repainted, however meant this new equipment wasn’t a photogenic as new equipment usually is.
